ROAM and Chasing Shadows
As I am just finalising the selection of pictures for my talk at macrobert on Wednesday, I had to remember one quote from ROAM, which will open the evening: “To roam is to search for something new. On a mountain bike you can cover a great distance in a short period of time, or a short distance in a great period of time. They say that the journey can be more important than the destination. In mountain biking there is no destination. Just a bike, a rider and a place to ride.” If there is one essence to all of my trips on two wheels, here you got it. Nobody could have said it better. Hope to see you all on Wednesday! PS: there was also a great feature in the Herald today, thanks to Rebecca McQuillan. Read the full article here
And just as a reminder: I will be hosting iRIDE at macrobert on the University Campus in Stirling on Wed 9 Feb at 7.00pm. There are still some tickets left for £12, including a screening of ROAM, a talk from from about the winter adventure cycling on a singlespeed bike to Germany and a free drink as well. More than happy to answer all your burning questions after the talk as well, before I will head off to some more winter cycling in the Highlands on the weekend. More info can be found at macroobert.org/iride, or call 01786 466666.
