An hour of my journey so far ...

An hour of my journey so far …

… in a podcast.

Thanks to Owen Philipson, who runs the Drum Up Scottish Cycling blog, for taking the time to speak to me after my talk to employees of SEPA and SNH in Stirling. I have know Owen since 2010, when I first cycled on a singlespeed bike to Germany in winter, and his blog is very interesting record of Scottish cycling history.

Coming back to Stirling for the talk was a special moment, as my commute home from there to Edinburgh formed the backbone of my training for riding around the world. Owen has also closely followed the years in which I constantly pushed my limits, cycling 424 km to the Isle of Skye in 2011, London to Edinburgh in two days and back from Germany in three days in 2012.

If you have an hour, this will give you a good understanding why I cycle and do the things I do, and I am looking forward to use my story to inspire more people to have fun and pick up their bike. I will be on stage with Geoff Allan, Jenny Tough and Dan Bailey on Thursday 16 March at 7pm at Craigdon Mountain Sports in Edinburgh, with a few more dates lined up in the end of March. Tickets for the Edinburgh event are still available here, more information on future talks is here. Enjoy listening!
