When I entered the small toy shop in Duderstadt I couldn’t hide my excitement. A wee boy, stepping into a different world. My experience of toy shops in East Germany was totally turned on its head at the very moment I walked into the shop. It was the 10th November, a Friday morning, not long until Christmas. It was the morning after the Berlin Wall and the German Border was opened for the first time on the 9th November 1989.

With 2024 drawing to a close soon - here's the final route from our new book. A more technical loop through the forests around Blairgowrie. This is a great ride for all seasons, as it's mostly sheltered in the forests. We will keep you posted when the book will be out!

We continue sharing routes from our upcoming book. This is one of the longer routes in the Cairngorms Gravel Rides Book, starting and finishing in Alyth. The route takes you trough Glen Prosen, one of the Angus Glens, past Backwater Reservoir and the Airlie Monument.
