This Thursday we had to celebrate Jay’s new bike purchase, a Jones singlespeed, a perfect machine for bikepacking in Scotland. On a cold but clear day we retraced our tyre tracks in the Beecraigs Country Park and rode the bit of the Central Belter I am possibly most excited about.

My idea is to develop a new bikepacking trail to connect the Capital Trail, Highland Trail and Cairngorms Loop, all three of them are amazing to ride by themselves, to create a super bikepacking trail trough Scotland, similar to the Tour Aotearoa.
