The Edinburgh Festival of Cycling 2015 has been launched
I was lucky to be part of something pretty special yesterday. About 150 primary school kids and their parents were accompanied by Team Scotland cyclists Kerry MacPhee (mountain bike) and Louise Haston (track) on their school ride from the King’s Buildings to their school through Edinburgh’s Southside. The ride marked the launch of the Edinburgh Festival of Cycling, which will be held in the Capital from 11 – 21 June. This year I have contributed to the festival with devising the Capital Trail, and general support in marketing it, so I was thrilled to grab the camera and document the ride, and do a quick video with the two riders. The pictures can be found on Flickr here, the brochure for the Festival is here to flick through, and please take 3 minutes of your time and watch what the two riders have to say. And most of all, come around, celebrate cycling in Edinburgh and beyond, and inspire others to take it up. You can share your experiences on social media using #edfoc2015 as hashtag.
Very Nice!
