Corrie Fee - simply magic. I saved the moment for 14 years. I just released a new film for the Cateran Ecomuseum, and this is amazing amphitheatre is just around the corner -just a short detour from my favourite route in Great British Gravel Rides.

New film - From Deep Time to Our Time launches Fri

New film - From Deep Time to Our Time launches Friday evening at 7pm. Filmed in the Cateran Ecomuseum from March to October on two wheels. I’m looking forward to see it on the big screen on Friday at the Dundee Mountain Film Festival - and to welcome people to cycle the Cateran Dirt Dash next May, which takes you through Cateran Country. #bikeoacking #scotland #rethink #restore #regenerate

A new project - and a permanent base for @bikepack

A new project - and a permanent base for @bikepackingscot in Alyth. I have travelled a fair share & decided to make this house in a quiet lane into cycle-friendly accommodation, with bike storage, a library of inspiring books, boardgames, drying facilities & a nice coffee machine. The name - Forillon - was inspired to my visit to Quebec this year. Forillon National Park was a really inspiring place - and over the next months I’ll add more of my photography to the house as well - from various trips on two wheels across this beautiful planet.

I have been to Alyth many times for work & to relax, for me it’s one of the best places to cycle in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. There are mountain bike trails right at the edge of town, the Cateran Trail passes the town - and there are loads of great gravel and road routes. If you stay I am happy to map routes for your needs.

Alyth is also home to the third Dirt Dash - which is happening again on 4/5 May 2024. There are great local food producers in area too, the blueberries were hand picked in October this year.

The practical stuff - the house sleeps 6 people, one of the bedrooms can be transformed into an office, and you’re hidden away in a quiet lane with a nice drying green. While there’s sadly mo train station in town, you can take the Ember bus to Perth or Dundee and cycle from there - of from Dunkeld/Birnam station.

And I have plans to offer some guided activities too, but this is a bit further in the future. For now you can hire the house yourself and enjoy one of my favourite places in the 🌍

For me there is something really magic about riding a bike in autumn, enjoying the shorter daylight hours on the bike, and the evenings with great food & friends. This was filmed on my recent trip with Carlton & Josh Reid on a new bikepacking route for @routeyc #cycling #bikepacking

It’s official now - this year’s cycling home f

It’s official now - this year’s cycling home for Xmas is on - from Edinburgh along the East Coast to Hull, including routes I have just designed on the Yorkshire Coast. Then ferry from Hull to Rotterdam & on to Erfurt. 150k average per day on a …. gravel cargo bike! I’ll share more details soon, here’s a quick clip what to expect cycling there.

A great day capturing the last bits for a new film and the beautiful autumn colours in the Cateran Ecomuseum. Can’t wait for the Dirt Dash returning here next May too. The film allowed me to explore the Ecomuseum over 4 seasons, and while winter is still my favourite, autumn is pretty nice too! As as Blairgowrie is Scotland’s berry town, I picked blueberries myself.

Close to be finished soon. The last months I worke

Close to be finished soon. The last months I worked on a new bikepacking route on the Yorkshire Coast - from Whitby in the north to Spurn Point in the south. Mapping & testing a route takes time - especially for longer loops. I combined training with scouting clocking 270km in the last two days, starting early & finishing late. And Yorkshire delivered the nice scenery & weather. The route is due to be launched in 2024 - and you can find more inspiration already at @routeyc

Pictures from a great long weekend in Sweden, exploring Kalmar & Öland. The agricultural landscape in the south of the island was surreal - especially when I went for a gravel ride early in the morning with the fog obscuring the sun, everything covered in beautifully spun spiderwebs. Sweden’s cycling infrastructure is superb - we loved discovering the island on a tandem. This place well & truly is worth the World Heritage site status. One for the bucket list, highly recommended!

You’ll see more soon on GCN. This is a route that wouldn’t make it into any of my books though (: But Knoydart was a superb adventure!
